The summer of 2023 we are opening up a new house a short walk from the main guest house. The hotel expansion means that we can accommodate a total of close to 200 overnight guests and we are thus radically expanding our offer.
It will be a modern hotel, still telling the story of the maritime life which has a high impact on local peoples lives. The inspiration of the interior design is taken from the sea, archipelago and the rough yet beautiful nature around us.
20 unique boutique hotel rooms spanning from superior to suites will offer an elegant and comfortable accommodation. Restaurant Mirabelle has been named after master chef Ørjan Johannessen’s daughter, underlining the ambition to preserve nature for generations to come. It offers a private section (chambre séparée) for the most exclusive experience. We have also saved a spot for a culinary academy to spread knowledge about ambitious cooking. You will find the restaurant on the top floor of the hotel, with a roof terrace of 130 square meters and with a panoramic view of 180 degrees to both se and summits.
The building was designed by the renowned architect Ajas Mellbye who has designed several hotels and received the award ‘Award of Excellence in Architecture’ in 2017. The new hotel will be an architectural gem when finished.
We are looking forward to welcoming guest to a very special experience in food, design, service and adventures.
